Rihanna, the high priestess of fashion and beauty, just debut her lingerie fashion show Savage x Fenty and I am living! What an amazing way to end New York Fashion week. The runway show feature a wonderfully diverse group of women — including a majority of models of color, plus size models, and even pregnant models. I have never seen a show like this before. Shout out to Rihanna for continuing to break out of the confined box of societal beauty standards and strutting into a more inclusive future.

As for the debut Fall 2018 collection, from the luscious, green runway decorated with tropical plants to the leopard print lingeries, the show was imbued with a “jungle” theme.

I hate to end on a sour note, but since we are on the topic I just want to say Revolve Clothing is disgusting for selling a sweatshirt with a fat shamming phrase! The last time I checked, ALL women of different shapes and sizes can appreciate fashion, so it seems idiotic for a brand to marginalize a group of their clientele by body shaming them. We should be considerate ALL women not just the ones who fit into the ideal beauty standards. Beauty is not a limiting idea. Please do not support brands who are capitalizing on people’s insecurities. I have never purchase anything from this brand will continue to NEVER give them any of my coin.
